A dependable shop reference for anyone who owns or works with a Delta 52″ Unifence Saw Guide. This manual covers Delta models 36-906 and 36-889. This quality reproduction combines the original factory instructions with the parts information in one convenient book. The pages have been carefully cleaned and prepared for easy use at the workbench.

What’s in this manual:

  • Assembly & Mounting — Assembly instructions for the table.
  • Fence Operation — Before operating fence, make sure the fence is adjusted parallel to miter gage slot, as explained later on in this manual. For most normal ripping operations of standard-size lumber, the fence is used in the vertical position, as shown.
  • Adjusting Clamping Action of Fence Locking Handle — When the fence locking handle is pushed to the down position, as shown.
  • Assembling Table and Shelf to Saw Cabinet — Remove the right table extension and front and rear guide rails from the saw. Lay the table upside down on the floor or bench, as shown in.
  • Assembling Cursor to Unifence Body — Remove two screws and flat washers and assemble the cursor to the Unifence body. Replace the two screws and flat washers.
  • Ripping with the Unifence — Ripping is the operation of making a lengthwise cut through a board, as shown in the image, and the rip fence is used to position and guide the work. One edge of the work rides against the rip fence while the flat side of the board rests on the table.
